The Topp-Leone Half Logistic Generalized-G Family of Distributions : Model, Properties and Applications

Abstract

In this article, a new family of distributions called the Topp-Leone half logistic generalized-G
(TL-HLG-G) family of distributions is introduced. Some special cases such as Topp-Leone half logistic
generalized-log-logistic (TL-HLG-LLoG) distribution, Topp-Leone half logistic generalized-Weibull (TLHLG-
W) distribution, Topp-Leone half logistic generalized-Lomax (TL-HLG-L) distribution and Topp-
Leone half logistic generalized-Power (TL-HLG-P) distribution are studied. Some statistical properties of
the new distribution such as quantile function, moments, order statistrics and R´enyi entropy are presented.
The maximum likelihood estimation technique is used to estimate the model parameters. Three real data
sets are used to illustrate the usefullness and importance of the new family of distributions.
